NEW Features in
Calibration Manager 4
The industry standard
in calibration management software has just gotten better with the introduction
of Calibration Manager 4. With MS® SQL Server or Oracle® and a distributed
network architecture, Calibration Manager 4 has many features, which will
improve productivity, provide flexibility and maintain compliance.
- Architecture -
Calibration Manager 4 will greatly reduce network traffic and the burden
on client resources because of its web based n-Tier architecture. This
leading edge design will also provide unparalleled scalability as the
corporate enterprise expands. The design consists of a Windows Interface
linked via ASP pages to a COM+ based middle tier component, which accesses
an MS SQL Server or Oracle database.
- Auto Reminder -
Never miss another scheduled calibration with Calibration Manager's
Auto Reminder. Set-up Auto Reminder to view records across multiple
datasets and queries. Auto Reminder can be custom configured for each
user's workstation eliminating the need to notify by email what the
user is responsible for on any particular day.
- Email Capabilities
- Save time by emailing directly from Calibration Manager's equipment
list information and select and sort feature. System Administrators
can also be notified via email of a security breach.
- Enterprise - Reduce
validation costs, simplify data maintenance, and ensure global compliance
by allowing remote access to a central database by multiple groups or
sites with a single implementation.
- Field Attributes
- Assign and change the attributes of any data field. This functionality
provides greater customization and flexibility so Calibration Manager
can better meet your specific requirements.
- Interface - Calibration
Manager 4's contemporary interface makes it easy to navigate throughout
the application and monitor equipment status. The highly customizable
interface allows different field names, attributes, etc., for each dataset
within a single implementation for maximum productivity.
- Lock/Unlock -
Protect the integrity of any history data record by locking the record
from inadvertent changes by users.
- MS SQL Server Database
- Improve performance and increase scalability by utilizing Calibration
Manager's flexible MS SQL Server Database.
- Object Fields -
Find expanded information at your fingertips with Calibration Manager's
object field feature. Double click on a populated field to find additional
information about a person, manufacturer, vendor, or SOP. Any field
can become an object field for increased productivity and flexibility.
- Oracle - Improve
performance and increase scalability by utilizing Calibration Manager's
flexible Oracle database.
- Part 11 - The industry
leader in Part 11 functionality is now even more powerful with increased
flexibility. The Part 11 ER/ES feature has improved password security
requirements and a system level Audit Trail to track user and system
configuration changes. This functionality is designed in and not a retrofitted
add-on module.
- Roles - Improve
productivity and control user activity by creating templates for defining
individual user rights within a dataset. Then, easily and quickly apply
these templates to individual or multiple users by selecting the appropriate
role.
- Security - Use
Calibration Manager's internal security features or integrate it with
your Windows NT security setup for maximum flexibility. Restrict access
to records down to sub-sets of records within a dataset if necessary.
Users only see and access what they need to.
- Separation of Functionality
- Set-up, use and maintain equipment information easily and effectively
through this separation of functionality which reduces required network
resources, streamlines training, and speeds the implementation process.
- Calibration
Manager - The most frequently used tools are built into the core
application. Functionality such as adding records, completing work
tasks, searching records and printing reports are all easily accessible.
- Reporting -
Whether it's a lab manager designing custom forms and reports or
a casual user viewing a Web Report, the functional break out of
reports minimizes complexity and the need for additional resources.
- Administrator
Tools - Designed for less frequent, yet critical use, the Administrator
tool set is essential for ensuring a validated state. The flexibility
of the Calibration Manager gives the administrator ultimate control
of the application's environment.
- Standards Engine
- Ensure compliance through Calibration Manager's Standards Engine.
With this feature, you can identify all standards within a facility,
track due date and pass/fail criteria. Essential for forward or reverse
traceability.
- Status Flags -
With a quick glance, identify which pieces of equipment are standards,
which records require electronic signatures, etc. to save time and improve
productivity.
- Tag System - Calibration
Manager's new Tag System allows for tracking instrumentation from both
an asset or tag centric view. This functionality is ideal for tracking
which instruments were at which tag locations over a period of time.
- Work Flow Templates
- Take the guess-work out of tracking equipment through the calibration
and maintenance process with this new feature. Design task lists, track
the progress, and assign responsibility for a piece of equipment and
apply the template to history records or Work Orders.
